Junior Regional Orchestra involves over 100 students in grades 7-9 from the Lynchburg, Roanoke, Charlottesville and Harrisonburg areas. Participating students are chosen by audition in late January The orchestra is led by a different guest conductors each year in a variety of repertoire. This year’s conductors are Alexander Kordzaia from Richmond University and Yi-Ping Chen from James Madison University.

This year’s event will take place at our school. Students will rehearse on Friday, March 22 and Saturday, March 23 in preparation for the concert which is on Saturday at 2 p.m. All are welcome to the concert, which is free and open to the public.
