The site incorporates the school\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.easternmennonite.org\/es\/2018\/10\/eastern-mennonite-school-reviews-brand-and-introduces-revitalized-logo\/\">revitalized logo<\/a>, provides information to prospective families, and serves alumni and parent audiences.<\/p>\n<p>Clay Showalter \u201998, <a href=\"https:\/\/clayshowalter.com\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">media consultant<\/a>, developed the site, with design expertise by Lindsey Kolb, freelance designer, and content management by Andrea Wenger, director of advancement. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cBuilding a website from scratch is both exciting and daunting,\u201d says Mike Stoltzfus, director of business affairs, who owned a website consultation business prior to beginning with EMS in IT support more than 10 years ago. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were fortunate to be able to bring together a team with top skill sets in design, content management and web development. We hope the result will be more people finding out about our school through Google searches, as well as our community of users finding what they need.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Features include:<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Home page access points for prospective families researching <a href=\"https:\/\/www.easternmennonite.org\/es\/academics\/elementary-school\/\">primaria<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.easternmennonite.org\/es\/academics\/middle-school\/\">secundaria<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.easternmennonite.org\/es\/academics\/high-school\/\">preparatoria<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Content features organized around themes of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.easternmennonite.org\/es\/about\/experiential-learning\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">experiential learning<\/a>, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.easternmennonite.org\/es\/about\/faith-community\/\">comunidad de fe solidaria<\/a> y <a href=\"https:\/\/www.easternmennonite.org\/es\/about\/the-arts\/\">las artes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.easternmennonite.org\/es\/about\/parent-portal\/\">Portal para padres<\/a> for easy access to links and forms frequently needed by parents of current students.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 An <a href=\"https:\/\/www.easternmennonite.org\/es\/athletics\/\">Atletismo<\/a> site with schedules and results organized by team, historical data on the athletics program, directions to away games and for those coming to EMS.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.easternmennonite.org\/es\/about\/news\/\">blog de noticias<\/a> with new content added multiple times a week.<\/p>\n<p>A website is always a work in progress, notes Stoltzfus, especially a new one. \u201cWe\u2019re grateful for feedback if users find errors, and welcome suggestions for continuous improvement.\u201d Email webmaster@easternmennonite.org<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Eastern Mennonite School launched a new website in early April.
