The change will reduce the frequency of class changes, give time for enhanced daytime cleaning, and reduce the number of classes in the event the school must move to distance learning.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPlaneamos utilizar una variedad de espacios de reuni\u00f3n m\u00e1s grandes como espacio de instrucci\u00f3n para que podamos distribuirnos y tener a todos aqu\u00ed todos los d\u00edas\u201d, escribi\u00f3 Leaman. \u201c\u00a1Estamos planeando creativamente un a\u00f1o escolar prometedor y anticipamos estar juntos una vez m\u00e1s!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The email communication included a link to a survey regarding technology needs. EMS will be prepared for potential pandemic disruptions during the year, ranging from individual students needing to stay at home for health reasons, to state executive orders and weather temporarily closing school.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe plan to ensure every student has the technological support needed to carry on,\u201d Leaman said. Limited government funds, as well as generous donor support to EMS\u2019 COVID-19 Aid Fund, will make fulfilling technology needs possible.<br \/>\nTeachers will return to school on August 17 to take part in a faculty-staff conference and prepare classrooms. The week will include professional development in preparation for ongoing increased use of technology.<\/p>\n<p>Students understandably have a lot of questions about exactly what this will look like, note principals <a href=\"https:\/\/www.easternmennonite.org\/facultystaff\/justin-king\/\">Justin King<\/a> (high school) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.easternmennonite.org\/facultystaff\/maria-archer\/\">Maria Archer<\/a> (K-8).
