The 5th grade class, led by teacher Ms. Merridy Gnagey, wrote graduation reflections on their time at EMS. Highlights included field trips, camp out, and self-growth. As their classmates shared their reflections, smiles, and head nods happened as they remembered their shared experiences. What a great community of students.<\/span><\/p>\n

Elementary school principal Maria Archer handed out character trait certificates. Each 5th grader had a unique trait that stood out throughout their years at EMS.<\/span><\/p>\n

Closing the ceremony the 5th grader shared a poem that they wrote together:<\/span><\/p>\n

The Important Thing About EMES<\/strong><\/p>\n

The important thing about EMES\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Is what it\u2019s taught us in the past.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

About birds and their wings, and all kinds of things,\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

It\u2019s what EMES has taught us in the past.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The important thing about EMES\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Is teamwork, through thick and through thin.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

If we work together, in all kinds of weather,\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

We\u2019ll have teamwork forever again.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The important thing about EMES\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Is the people who come here to learn.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

They learn so much more than they bargained for,\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

They come out, not strangers, but friends.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The important thing about EMES\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Is to be in the world, the outdoors.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

To be in the wonders our Creator has made,\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

God, we cherish these wonders of yours.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The important thing about EMES\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Is that there are no walls, there\u2019s no barrier.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

There\u2019s nothing that\u2019s meant to hold anyone back.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

We remember: The more, the merrier!<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

The important thing about EMES\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Is the world all together as one.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

If we\u2019re all together, we\u2019re never alone.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

We\u2019re all one together at home.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

The important thing about EMES\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Is the kindness that spreads all around.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

With smiles in the air, it\u2019s everywhere,\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Everyone helps all the others.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The important thing about EMES\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Is that no one is ever alike.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

We\u2019re different; that\u2019s good.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

That\u2019s how it should be,\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

\u2018Cause it\u2019s boring if we\u2019re all alike.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

The important thing about EMES\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Is that you\u2019re you, and I\u2019m me.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

We can play all together\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Forever and ever,\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

As different as different can be.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The important thing about EMES\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Is what we\u2019ll remember forever.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

We have tears in our eyes, as we say our goodbyes.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

We\u2019ll never forget you \u2013 not ever!<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

We at EMS will never forget each student and the impact they have on our school. <\/span>Supported by families, teachers, and peers, they step into the future with confidence and optimism. Congratulations to our rising 6th-grade class\u2014may they shine brightly in the next chapter of their academic journey!<\/span><\/p>\n
