Dr. Garland, known for his work at the crossroads of faith, immigration, and community life, will lead the discussion.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The lecture will delve into the concept of \u201cspectrums\u201d as a tool for compassionate discernment, encouraging attendees to move beyond simplistic categorizations of right and wrong. Drawing on his experiences in San Antonio, Dr. Garland will argue for a more nuanced approach that seeks greater love, clarity, and faithfulness in addressing issues such as immigration, belonging, and ethical decision-making.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Central to Dr. Garland&#8217;s message is the idea of attachment to God, as exemplified in the Lord\u2019s Prayer, which he believes is foundational for discerning complex issues with wisdom and compassion.
