EMS must be in compliance\u00a0with Title IX of the education amendments of 1972 because the school receives federal financial assistance through its school lunch program. \u201cCompliance is also\u00a0the right thing to do,\u201d says Paul Leaman, head of school. \u201cFollowing the guidelines gives structure for caring for everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Title IX coordinator\u2019s role is to receive inquiries regarding non-discrimination policies, and assure that grievance filing and processing procedures are in place and accessible.
