Eastern Mennonite School has announced visit dates for families considering admission for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Kindergarten Open House
Parents or guardians with children who will enter kindergarten are invited to attend an Open House on Thursday, Oct. 13 or Tuesday, Nov. 1 from 9 to 10 a.m.

Come see the kindergarten hands-on learning environment which emphasizes cooperation, creativity, and time outdoors. Meet kindergarten teachers and Maria Archer, K-8 principal. Learn about the admissions process. Parents and guardians are encouraged to visit without their children so they can observe and ask questions freely.  The Open House will be held in the school’s elementary building from 9 to 10 a.m. with parking available in the lot marked Gym/Elementary.

Middle and High School
Families with children who will enter middle and high school in the fall of 2023 are invited to visit on the following dates:

• Tuesday, Nov. 8, 8:15 a.m. for middle school visitors
• Tuesday, Jan. 17,  8:15 a.m. for middle and high school visitors
• Mon., Jan 23, 8:15 a.m. for middle and high school visitors
• Fri, Feb 24, 8:15 a.m. for middle and high school visitors
• Mon, Apr 3, 8:15 a.m. for high school visitors

Students and parents/guardians will come to the upper building at 801 Parkwood Drive, Harrisonburg. Guests will gather in a classroom before taking a tour of the building. When the tour ends, parents and students will go separate ways.

Parents will hear from school personnel about the admissions process, financial aid, and other insights from teachers, concluding at 9:45. Afterward, they are invited to stay for servicio de capilla de 20 minutos if interested. Student visitors are encouraged to stay a half-day to shadow a student host in their grade level with similar interests, attend chapel, and eat lunch before departure at 12 noon.
