STEP 1:  VISIT. Register for an Open House or a Family Visit Day (dates here), or schedule a personal tour. Admissions events and tours are available throughout the school year. Complete an inquiry form to indicate interest and to register.

STEP 2:  REVIEW TUITION. Trabajamos con cada familia para que la educación EMS sea asequible. Revise nuestro modelo de matrícula page and talk with admissions and business office personnel about affordability (see STEP 3).

STEP 3:  APPLY ONLINE. Complete la solicitud en línea after Nov. 1 and work through the admissions checklist (your inquiry prior to Nov. 1 puts you in our records as an interested family). Complete the solicitud de asistencia para la matrícula FACTS application between February 1 and February 28 if you would like to be considered for needs-based assistance.

Unfortunately, we are not accepting applications for grades 1-5 for fall of 2023. Por favor complete the inquiry form so we can inform you of openings as we plan for future elementary growth opportunities!

STEP 4:  ENROLL. In March, after completing the admissions process, finalize enrollment using our online enrollment system. A $350 non-refundable general fee is due upon enrollment.

Beyond 2023-2024

Parents who are thinking of admissions in future school years:  The admissions application opens in November for the upcoming school year only. To be notified of future admissions events and application openings, please complete an inquiry form so that we can stay in touch.

Important Dates

  • Nov. 1:  Application process for the coming year opens.
  • Nov. 1 - Feb. 15:  No application fee!
  • Feb. 16 - verano: tarifa de solicitud de $50
  • February 28:  FACTS tuition assistance application due. $35 processing fee.
  • March 1 - summer:  Enrollment for new students for the coming year, as space allows; $350 non-refundable student general fee must be paid to secure spot.

Estudiantes escolares en el hogar: Además de los documentos anteriores, los estudiantes educados en el hogar que ingresan a la escuela por primera vez deben proporcionar una copia del calendario de vacunación del estudiante y el formulario de Salud de Entrada a la Escuela de Virginia (presentado antes del inicio del año escolar).

EMS has made admissions easy and convenient! After the application form has been submitted, parents/guardians will follow a checklist to complete the remaining items for the student's admission file. Your help is necessary to complete the process quickly — and the admissions office is ready to guide you and to answer your questions during the process!

The admission file is complete when the school has received the application and all checklist items. We will review it and contact you with questions. Occasionally, we may request additional information or may schedule a meeting with families during the admission phase.
