Homecoming 2022: October 14 and 15   

  • Five-year reunions for graduates of classes ending in 2 and 7. Reunion coordinators will contact those for whom the school has contact information. Details will also be posted here as they are finalized.
  • Alumni, faculty and staff, students and families are welcome to all events

SCHEDULE

Friday, October 14

10 a.m. -- Chapel featuring alumni guest(s), to be announced. Visitors may join by entering the upper building through the main office glass doors, checking in, and proceeding to the auditorium, or by livestream.

5:30 p.m. -- Homecoming picnic. EMS students, families, faculty, staff, former faculty and staff, alumni and friends are welcome to this picnic supper provided by the school. Cold water provided. Bring your water bottle. Donations welcome.  Registration (opens Aug. 1) helps us know how much food to prepare. 

7:30 p.m. -- Homecoming Concert. Instrumental program featuring EMS Wind Ensemble, Orchestra, Strings, Jazz Ensemble. Choral program featuring Touring and Chamber Choirs.

Saturday, October 15

8:30 to 10 a.m. -- Homecoming Breakfast, EMS dining hall.

Homecoming Breakfast, EMS dining hall. Gather for a breakfast buffet as we celebrate alumni stories and hear a brief school update. We will celebrate: Janelle Zook Cunalata ’02, Carl Stauffer ’82, and Ethan Zook ’79. Tables can be reserved, on request for reunion gatherings. $10 donation per adult suggested. Buffet begins at 8:30; program begins at 9:15. Please register.

10 a.m. to noon -- Self-guided building tours through the upper (middle and high) and lower (elementary) buildings.

11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. -- Girls JV and varsity volleyball, EMS gym. Concessions will be available for sale in the gym.

2 p.m. -- Fun Run/Walk for all ages around EMS fields and athletic fields, hosted by cross country team, approximately two miles. Free t-shirts to decorate. Gather in the dining hall parking lot. Register so we have enough t-shirts!

3:30 p.m. -- Varsity boys soccer, EMS soccer fields. Free. Concessions will be available.

5:30 -- Bonfire. Everyone is welcome to gather around a firepit on the auditorium patio for s'mores, hot chocolate and hot cider.

Evening -- Classes ending in 2 and 7 are welcome to gather any time with Saturday evening open as an option for all.
