Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving Message

As we approach the season of Thanksgiving, we find ourselves reflecting on the many blessings and wonderful experiences that have enriched our school community this fall, including our fall play, academic achievements, recent e-term, athletic events, and all the ways we see you showing up, reflecting Christ’s light and leading in our community.  It is during this time that we are reminded of the importance of taking a moment to pause, reflect, and give thanks for all that we have.

In chapel on Monday, students, staff, and faculty did just this, they shared their gratitude for the large and small things they are thankful for. Examples of those expressions of gratitude include, “my brother, being able to go to a school like this, my mom.” Those stars now line our halls and as we enter into the advent season. They will serve as reminders of who we are together and what we value.

Being grateful is a powerful practice in the work of belonging and connectedness. We see in our EMS community that the spirit of appreciation inspires and uplifts us all and we count you among those we are so grateful for. Whether you are a student, alumni, donor, family member, or a part of our dedicated staff or faculty, your presence and contributions are valued beyond measure.

Together, we co-create this academic environment that empowers each of us to learn, grow, and succeed.

As we gather with loved ones to celebrate this Thanksgiving, may we all cherish the moments of togetherness. Let us carry the spirit of thankfulness into our everyday lives, spreading kindness and positivity throughout our community.

Wishing you a joyous and peaceful Thanksgiving!
