Interests
I enjoy hiking and biking in Virginia and beyond; my favorite spot is New River Trail State Park in SWVA. I love to read and I typically finish over 60 books a year; my favorite subjects are religion and Bible, history, and sociology but I love a good ghost story as well! I like to bake, especially baking pies.

Community involvement
I serve as one of the pastors of Shalom Mennonite Congregation, which meets at EMS in the dining hall. I have been in ministry at Shalom for five years; prior to Shalom, I served in college student ministry all over the US for eight years. I have volunteered regularly in the clinic at Rockingham-Harrisonburg SPCA for four years. I sing in the Shenandoah Valley Choral Society and help with a wide variety of Mennonite & Brethren youth events around the valley.
