Blauch Brothers STEM Scholarship

This scholarship is generously funded by Blauch Brothers Mechanical Contractors of Harrisonburg, Virginia.  Preference will be given to students with annual STEM-related (science, technology, engineering, and math) courses and interest, and especially those who would like to explore vocational training in the trades.

Recipients of the Blauch Brothers STEM Scholarship will receive up to $3,000 per year off of the regular high school tuition rate.

Students who meet the following criteria are encouraged to apply:

  • New or returning high school students. The award follows a student through graduation as long as they are enrolled in STEM-related classes or Massanutten Technical Center. For example, if a student is awarded their scholarship for their sophomore year, if they maintain requirements, they would also receive the award their junior and senior years.
  • Students are encouraged to have 3.0 grade point average at the time of application and to maintain the 3.0 grade point average throughout their scholarship.
  • Preference will be given to students whose families qualify for financial aid through the FACTS application process. The application opens on February 1.

To be considered for the scholarship:

  1. Apply to EMS, and apply for FACTS tuition assistance.
  2. Complete the online scholarship application. Follow the link and fill out the form.
  3. The scholarship is open to new and returning high school students who demonstrate interest in STEM course work and/or vocational trade training.
Deadline for the Blauch Brothers STEM application is February 28. One or more recipients of this scholarship will be chosen. Recipients will be notified starting March 15.


*Scholarship discount will be applied after any reductions in tuition, such as tuition assistance, are calculated.
