Education
EMHS class of '81, BA in Music Education from Temple University; M.Ed. from Eastern Mennonite University. Maria has been with EMES since it began in 2005. Prior to that she taught at Hunter McGuire in Staunton, Virginia, and at a charter school in Philadelphia. She is a certified Title IX investigator through Institutional Compliance Solutions K-12 Title IX training.
2023 Free Innovation award winner through VAIS.
Interests
I enjoy spending time with my three grown daughters and their families (especially my grandchildren), playing the piano, gardening, crocheting, and watching baseball.

My husband and I have three children, Olivia, Natalie (EMHS class of '13), and Gabriela (EMHS class of '16). We also have one granddaughter, Julia.
