Give students the EMS experience!

Contribute to our Financial Aid fund and champion our vision to embody the love of Jesus as a learning community where every student belongs, thrives, and joins God’s work in the world.

When you donate to EMS, you support a learning community that ...

  • Provides need-based financial aid to more than 30% of students
  • Supports academic excellence and success for all through 1:1 mentoring
  • Offer experiential learning opportunities
  • Joins discipline and accountability with restorative practices
  • Foster the flourishing of arts at EMS, a tradition spanning over a century

Gifts from parents, grandparents, friends, and alumni have an immediate impact on our learning community!

Help make an EMS education more accessible!

More about the day of giving...

Each year, the Great Community Give promotes charitable giving to over 100 local nonprofits for one full day. It is an initiative of The Community Foundation of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County.

Help students gain access to the EMS experience

Experiential Learning

In more traditional school settings, students often hear and read about others’ experiences. At EMS, teachers consider individual learning styles and facilitate opportunities for students to make discoveries and experiment with knowledge firsthand. Co-Curricular programs like athletics, clubs, and learning trips further extend the classroom.

The Arts

The arts program ensures daily, year round creativity for our students, fostering a lasting impact. The concert season features directors, vocalists, and instrumentalists who collaboratively put together outstanding performances that bring together the school and local community. The theater department offers a middle and high school play, as well as a winter high school musical. Visual arts inspire students in the classroom and imbue creativity in learning throughout the school.

Faith Formation

In addition to the regular Bible curriculum, students grow in their faith through integration of values-based content across school life. We welcome speakers -- from area pastors to far-flung alumni -- to share during chapel and elementary gathering times. Our student-led service club supports others beyond the school through food drives, trash pick-ups, local church children's outreach, and more. We encourage each other in hard times and celebrate each other's joys.
