EMS Middle School Theater to Present Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night”

Eastern Mennonite School’s Middle School Theater is proud to announce its upcoming production of William Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night.” Set in the enchanting fictional kingdom of Illyria, this comedic play promises an evening of laughter, love, and lively entertainment.

At the heart of the story is Viola, a young woman who finds herself shipwrecked on the shores of Illyria. To navigate the challenges she faces, Viola adopts the guise of a man named Cesario. What follows is a whirlwind of mistaken identities, romantic entanglements, and humorous mishaps that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats.

As the plot unfolds, viewers will be swept away by the witty banter, clever wordplay, and timeless themes woven throughout Shakespeare’s masterpiece. Themes of love, identity, and the folly of human nature are explored with depth and nuance, leaving a lasting impression on all who witness the performance.

The talented cast and crew of EMS Middle School Theater have poured their hearts and souls into bringing “Twelfth Night” to life on stage. From the intricate set design to the captivating performances, every aspect of the production has been carefully crafted to ensure an unforgettable theatrical experience.

The show will take place on Friday, May 10, and Saturday, May 11, in the school’s auditorium: 801 Parkwood Drive. At 7 pm

Doors will open at 6:40, and admission is “pay what you will,” allowing guests to contribute according to their means.
