Our deadline has been extended as we are so close to reaching our goal! So far, we have over $45,000 toward our $50,000 fundraising goal. Thank you to our generous supporters, and there's still time to get involved in this special project.
$35,500+ through the sale of bricks engraved with names, phrases, or scriptures.
$4,500 from the class of ‘19 (senior class gift... wow!).
$5,000 from EMES PTF (parent forum).
Thanks to the generosity of many, the elementary building renovation is well underway! Now it is our turn to get involved in a specific project… Help us Build a Bridge!
Building a bridge to connect the renovated elementary building and the current middle and high school building before the students begin using the building is a real and significant need. The bridge will provide:
- a safe space for pick up and drop off for elementary students;
- additional outdoor learning and play space;
- a physical and symbolic link between the upper and lower buildings highlighting our one campus.
The covered bridge will be approximately 12’ by 50’, constructed of concrete, steel and wood. Our fundraising goal of $50,000 will build the covered bridge. The approximate cost of the project is $60,000, and we anticipate in-kind support of about $10,000 through volunteer assistance and the donation of planks for the walking surface.
Purchase a paver (or pavers!) and join the effort!
Honor a student or feature a scripture or inspirational message with each engraved brick. The resulting pathway between the lower building and entry to the bridge will be traveled many times a day.
- $150 buys one paver
- $250 buys two pavers
- $500 buys five pavers
Businesses are welcome to support the project too! Feature your business logo on an engraved brick.
