Build a Bridge

Thank you for helping build a bridge!

Updated June 10, 2020

The bricks are installed, and we welcome you to stop by and find your paver. The engraved pavers you donated honor EMS students, alumni, teachers and administrators past and present, as well as supporting businesses and friends. Children will cross this bridge daily, walking on the firm foundation of generosity and care you laid.

Your gifts helped fund the lion's share of the new bridge so it can provide:

  • a safe space for pick up and drop off for elementary students;
  • additional outdoor learning and play space;
  • a physical and symbolic link between the upper and lower buildings highlighting our one campus.

Building a bridge to connect the renovated elementary building and the current middle and high school building was a real and significant need.

The covered bridge is approximately 12’ by 50’, constructed of concrete, steel and wood. Herr & Company shared their expertise as we built the bridge and parent Chris Riddle installed the pavers.
