Chapel will start with recognition of two students who recently received Letters of Commendation from the National Merit Scholarship program. Andrea Wenger, director of advancement, will then share some reflections

Representatives from Bluffton University, Eastern Mennonite University, Hesston College and Goshen College will share a presentation and be on hand throughout the day to answer student questions.

Amanda Garber is pastor of Rise, a faith community in Harrisonburg in the United Methodist tradition. She is also parent of two EMS students.

Ted Swartz of Ted & Company Theater Works will perform. The show will provide an engaging opportunity for students to learn about the Doctrine of Discovery, which was a key concept and understanding in settling the Americas hundreds of years ago.

Our Homecoming Weekend activities will begin with presentation by in Chapel by Kirsten Nafziger ’89 Moore, Community Engagement Award recipient. Kirsten is an entrepreneur, artist, chef, caterer, marketing expert and more, who has used her gifts to bring together people in Harrisonburg and the surrounding area.
